Ibiza is located about 150 kilometers off the eastern coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. The largest ferry operators in the region include Baleària, Trasmed, and GNV. These companies move massive traffic, with Baleària alone transporting over 5.6 million passengers across its network recently. Most travelers arrive from the Spanish mainland or jump over from neighboring islands.
- The Fast Route: Denia is the closest mainland port to Ibiza. The high-speed catamaran takes just 2 to 3 hours, making it perfect if you want to get to the beach quickly.
- The Long Haul: If you leave from Barcelona or Valencia, expect a much longer trip of 6 to 9 hours. These are large ships, making them the best option if you want to sleep in a cabin overnight or bring a car.

Ibiza has two totally different arrival points. Most big ferries from the mainland dock in Ibiza Town (Botafoch) on the southeast coast.
